Shuttle Fit Trainer helps users to :

  • Develop the technical aspect of the transition from one lap to the next (proper turns)
  • Improve areobic capacity
  • Experience the pace required to complete emergency service aerobic assessments( 1.5 mile run, 5 km. run, the pace required for Police Fit Pin shuttle assessments for men & women )
  • Use the app to run the 20 meter shuttle run from stage 1 continuously until fatigue
  • Use the app to run at a specific pace repeatedly ( eg. Stage 7 the Physical Readiness for Police Pace)
  • Use an interval training approach
  • With a 30 second recovery phase (walking two laps) between stages or
  • With a 15 second recovery phase (walking one lap) between stages
  • Use the app to run at a given pace by selecting preferred stages on a 400 meter track
  • Monitor progress over time (time spent completing each stage, average pace, distance)
