The charts above allows you to determine the pacing required for various splits in order to complete Emergency Services runs in a specific time. For example: if your desired finishing time for the 5 Km run was 23 minutes and you were able to measure 400 meter splits then each 400 meters would have to be completed in a time of 1 minute 50 seconds.

You could also simulate the pace required for a specific finishing time if you were able to run the 20 meter shuttle run at the speed listed in the last two columns. (refer to Table 1)
